Pheasants Forever's website. Beaver Creek Pheasants Forever is a
local chapter of Pheasants Forever located in central Iowa. Our
mission is to improve our habitat and educate our youth in proven
scientific conservation ethics and facts.
Beaver Creek Pheasants Forever concentrates efforts in two basic
areas:
Habitat improvement and youth education in Polk and surrounding
central Iowa counties.
Pheasants Forever is a non-profit organization dedicated to the
protection
and enhancement of pheasant and other wildlife populations in North
America through habitat improvement, land management, public awareness,
and education.
Protect, restore, and enhance wildlife habitat by establishing
and maintaining local and regional projects. Develop, distribute
and foster conservation education. Introduce and advance prudent
conservation policy. Acquire and preserve critical habitat through
public land acquisition open to public hunting
- We furnish FREE seed to establish food plots
- We cost share with landowners to establish nesting cover and
shelterbelts
- We provide FREE professional consultations
- We provide FREE assistance in establishing CRP
- We provide equipment such as seed drills, tree planters, etc.
for use in establishing habitat
- We sponsor Hunting & Conservation Camp For Boys, a outdoor
education camp for boys ages 12 through 16
- We sponsor teachers in the Leopold Education Project so they
can better teach conservation ethics
- We sponsor a youth education and hunt in partnership with the
Flying B. Ltd of Panora each fall.
